Clara and Gage bring a very interesting difference to the Pack books so far. I enjoyed how love prevails but it’s never easy. Each story fits together so nicely and keeps me ready for more of the details in the next book.
Time to Stop Running….
Gage Matthews left his pack and has been alone since he was 16 after witnessing a life altering event. He can’t even fathom the idea of, or wants a mate. But God has a different fate for him, he sends him an angel in his most desperate hour of need. Gage finds himself trying to run from his gift from above, but the mating bond just won’t let him and he finds himself drawn to his angel. Will he go back on his word to always be alone, will he learn to trust again?
Clara Collier has always been the introvert of the Collier siblings, always quiet and reserved. She is a Vet and the only time she is vocal and passionate is when she goes on a mission to rescue and treat animals and shifters for a secret society sworn to protect them. On one of these missions she is drawn to a dying shifter and realizes he is what she has been waiting for all her life and she has sworn to not go through the deep heartache her sister Lizzy went through after finding her mate….She will do all in her power to persuade Gage that they belong together and teach him to trust again…Will she succeed in the most important mission of her life?
In the second installment of the Collier Series we get to delve deeper into the second oldest sister, Clara. Everyone in the family sees her as meek and potentially weak. Boy do they have another thing coming. In truth while she’s on her job she’s a vet and helps rescue animals and shifters and she’s also a leader. Gage is a lone wolf and wants no attachments yet when he meets his angel and One True Mate he can’t seem to stay away no matter how hard he tries. Gage is sexy, protective, caring and one wolf that can sweep you off your feet.
If you’re looking for an amazing shifter romance filled with spunk, redemption and romance I highly recommend checking out Run Free!
Amazing book that had me up past midnight reading! I loved the characters so much I was sad the book ended. If you love books about shifters and romance then you’ll love this book!
What a fan-freaking-tastic page-turner this is! “RUN FREE” is the 2nd book in the Collier Pack that had me glued to my seat right from the start! Contemporary romance with suspense that tugs on emotions from laughing to some tears! So, IMHO, this is another 6 star must read that can stand-alone but is connected to the phenomenal books in the Westin Pack series! These PNR shifter books don’t have to be read in order, but I’m glad that I did, due to the relatable, entertaining, recurring characters, plus new additions that blend in seamlessly 😀 … Also, I can always count on unique plots & amazing attention to detail by Ms. Trettel, and I know will help keep readers engaged & turning pages like crazy, just like I did! I highly recommend this and any of her books to adult fans of fiction! Now back to waiting for her next new novel! 😮 lol

Wow I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was so much emotion throughout the book and you could feel Gage’s anguish of what his mother did, not having the support of his pack, the loss of his brother Mark when his uncle k*lled him and getting the blame from his mother and then after he’d left and had spent years as a lone wolf he got caught, held captive and basically tortured. He never wanted a mate but Clara was his Angel that saved him. I loved the connection between Clara and Gage and they’re perfect for each other and they totally balance each other out. Clara has been working secretly with Verndari for years rescuing and saving animals including shifters without telling everyone, she was even working with Jacob at the same time that her sister Maddie was missing and little did she know that her and her son Oscar were safe with Jacob and his wife Annie. Also Verndari aren’t a big of a secret as she thought considering Kyle Westin set up a whole Task Force to monitor them since there’s a rogue group of younger members that have now taken to harming and experimenting on shifters instead of being guardians and not harming them per the Verndari code. Her brother and Alpha Thomas also knows about them because Lily was held captive by them for a short while in Alaska. Dave and a couple of other Verndari members helped Patrick rescue Lily’s sister Elise when she’d been k*dnapped by a couple of Bulgarian wolves.
I loved how Gage k*dnapped Clara and took her away from the hell hole that he’d been captive in and she went back as it was her job and he basically only lasted 17 minutes without her and followed her but kept his distance and helped get the enclosures tidy and secure so the rescued animals could go back into to save enclosures as if he helped it would mean that Clara could leave. It was funny how different Clara is while she’s working and with Gage vs the Clara she shows her family. It was never more evident when her sister Ruby and Lily walked in on Gage and Clara arguing about her being involved in the plot that the Larkin’s had in assassinating Thomas so Jedediah Larkin could become Alpha to Collier and merge the packs back together and Ruby was so freaked out as Clara her family knows never raises her voice. Lily found the whole thing funny and completely normal and Lily being Lily just asked when the last time they’d had s*x as all the passion needs to be released somehow. I also loved that every time Gage left as he needed time by himself Clara stuck up for him against her own family as she knew the real story of what he’s been through with his pack so trusting others is extremely hard especially when Clara could be in danger and Thomas’s life is on the line. I’m looking forward to reading Ruby’s book next as I want to see if she’s different than she shows her family like Clara. I’d recommend this book, series, Westin World Universe and author to everyone.
