LOVERS AT HEART, REIMAGINED
Treat Braden wasn’t looking for love when Max Armstrong walked into his Nassau resort, but he saw right through the efficient and capable facade she wore like a shield to the sweet, sensual woman beneath. One magnificent evening together sparked an intense connection, and for the first time in his life Treat wanted more than a casual affair. But something caused Max to turn away, and now, after weeks of unanswered phone calls and longing for the one woman he cannot have, Treat is going back to his family’s ranch to try to finally move on.
A chance encounter brings Treat and Max together again, and it turns into a night of intense passion and honesty. When Max reveals her secret, painful past, Treat vows to do everything within his power to win Max’s heart forever–including helping her finally face her demons head-on.
DESTINED FOR LOVE
BRONZE MEDAL WINNER, Readers’ Favorite Awards, Romance Sizzle
Love hot cowboys?
Rex Braden is wealthy, hard working, and fiercely loyal. Sweat at his brow, he works the family ranch by day, then kicks back at night with part time lovers who require nothing more than his physical presence a few times each week. But that was before. Before Jade Johnson, the daughter of the man his father has been feuding with for over forty years, moves back into town.
After ditching a horrific relationship–and her veterinary practice in the process–Jade Johnson returns to the safety of her small hometown and finally finds her footing. That is…until her horse is injured and Rex Braden comes to her rescue. The last thing she needs is a bull-headed, too-handsome-for-his-own-good Braden complicating her life.
Despite the angry family history, sparks fly between Rex and Jade, and attitudes follow. Fifteen years of stifled, forbidden love stirs a surge of passion too strong for either to deny–and the rebel in each of them rears its powerful head. Loyalties are tested, and relationships are strained. Rex and Jade are about to find out if true love really can conquer all.
FRIENDSHIP ON FIRE
SILVER MEDAL WINNER, Readers’ Favorite Awards, Romance Sizzle
Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break–working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and–just maybe–explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.
Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.
Josh and Riley’s friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every passionate caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley’s mentor accuses her of stealing the designs.

After 2 chapters it was obvious they were in love. But it went on and on and on with no twists, surprises, etc. The characters were good, it just got boring and halfway through I completely lost interest and moved on to another book.
I have read and reread this series many times. They were my first introduction to Melissa Foster, and made me a loyal fan.
I just wanted to keep reading
I was not super thrilled with the first book, Treat and Max’s story. I enjoyed the characters and the Braden family, but I felt like the dialogue between Treat and Max was a little juvenile. Especially, since Treat is supposedly a 37-year-old, sharp, world traveled businessman. Where is Max is a hardworking, driven, 28-year-old woman and yet when they speak it comes across as if they’re pre-teens with their first loves.
The writing and characters really develop through Jade and Rex who have to face a really challenging situation which is not of their making. Both characters really grow throughout their story.
Josh and Riley have to face a new dynamic which is a familiar storyline in romance books – the taboo of dating your boss. I really enjoyed their story and found that Melissa’s writing got better with every storyline.
I can’t wait to ready Dane and Lacy’s story – it’s already been built up at the end of Josh and Riley’s book.
Such a great series!
I love the Braden men
i like melissa foster. whenever i see her name i know i have an enjoyable book.
Love Melissa Foster, her characters always tug at the heartstrings!
I loved the story line, the characters ,but there were. too much graphic sex scenes.
I absolutely loved these books! Interesting, easy to read & hard to put down!
Great book
Have read just random Melissa Foster…..was wonderful to read this series 1-4…..love the “flawed” characters and the deep and real love …..will be looking for the sequence of where to go from here…..I love sequence reading!!!
I know I can count on Melissa Foster for a great series of books with interconnected characters.
I would have enjoyed a less steamy version more.
The first book was a little to steamy for me.. Lacks something.. but the 2nd and 3rd
I really liked. good characters and storyline. I went ahead and ordered 3 more to find out how the rest of the characters will find their happy ending.
I always enjoy the Braden’s. I read all the books about this family.
I really like collections/boxed sets from authors and this is a great set of the first three books from Melissa Foster, The Bradens at Weston. Each of these books is great on their own but I like where you can easily read from one book onto the next. These are three of my favorites.
Lovers at Heart Reimagined – I fell in love with the original ‘Lovers at Heart’ where we met the ever so charming, good looking and debonair, Treat Braden and fell in love with both he and Max Armstrong. I really enjoyed reading this updated and reimagined version by Melissa Foster. I enjoyed the backstory on their time in Nassau and I really liked how they talked about their problems and what was going on and worked through everything. I also liked meeting some new friends along the way and we also heard from some of our friends from other books. I especially loved the line “I know all those things you said about Treat. This is what I call Treat’s Justin-by-the-elevator moment.”
Destined for Love – Jade Johnson and Rex Braden have liked each other but they couldn’t do anything much less talk to each other because of a 40 year old family feud. I really felt for both Jade and Rex, they really wanted to be together but couldn’t be seen in public where they lived for fear of the news getting back to their families, especially their fathers. It was interesting to watch these two decide to take a chance to be together, even though it had to be in another town and then when they ran across The Dance of Two Lovers necklace that had belonged to Rex’s deceased mother, Adriana. . . fate? The Dance of Two Lovers necklace, “everything in their lives was meant to keep them apart, and against all odds, they found their way to each other.” I’m glad Rex and Jade took the chance to finally be together and with the help of Rex’s siblings, were able to finally put the 40 year old family feud to rest. I thought the way Rex and Treat handled the land at the end with Jade’s father was exactly as it should have been.
Friendship on Fire – I really enjoyed this story and having New York City as the back drop, even better. Watching Josh and Riley realize their true feelings toward each other but having to walk that fine line of going public or keeping their relationship private, was very interesting. I loved meeting Mia and all the other personalities at JBD and yes I’m glad that Claudia finally got what she deserved. As always, I loved the Braden family being there for each other and the ending was perfect for these two fashion designers.
