Loved this beautiful story of hurt and love. So romantic. Loved that they did not do the stereotypical things one would see in the movies etc when something like this happens (trying not to give anything away). Loved that love triumphed. Different from my usual Sue Lyndon reads but I enjoyed it immensely
This is another one of Claire Thompson’s vanilla MM romance. It’s a lovely story with a bit of dark running through it.
Ben has recently gotten out of a relationship with his abusive ex, Carl, when he has to go to a wedding and he meets Adrian, an underwear model/actor/photographer.
I really loved the chemistry in between Ben and Adrian. I loved that they took things a little slowly in the beginning, especially since Ben had recently gotten out of his relationship with Carl. There had been time in between Carl and Ben breaking up and Ben and Adrian meeting, so there was time for Ben to mostly get over Carl, but I still liked that little bit of time they took before anything else.
Like any other Claire Thompson story, there’s more than just the love story. There’s a deeper story of acceptance that runs through the story, which is quite lovely.
A new MM book by Claire Thompson. This book is a little bit different then her other books since there are no BDSM elements.
It is a wonderful book and once I started reading I kept on reading until the book was finished.
It is the story of Ben and Adrian. What I loved most about the book was how it showed their relationship from the first glance and how it evolved over time. There is also an insight into their families and how each of them dealt with having a son who is gay. There are also secrets, doubts, temptations and exes to deal with.
It shows a modern relationship.

Ben, recently out of a relationship, is not actively looking for a relationship when he goes to his friends wedding. When Ben’s ex shows up at a wedding that they were both invited to, Adrian attempts to save him by acting like they are together. After a wonderful night they decide to see where things go.
Meet Carl the ex. Self absorbed and a bit clingy, he wants Ben back. He is upset that Adrian has Ben now and wonders why Ben is not with him. (Hint: because he is kind of an awful person).
As Ben and Adrian figure out their dating, they also has to deal with Carl and everything he is doing to try to break them up.
A lot of ups and downs in this book. A good book to read. Just real enough to make you think they are actual people and wrote well enough to enjoy the fantasy.

“He’s Mine” by Claire Thompson is a contemporary gay romance that centers around Benjamin (Ben) Samuel Richman and Adrian Charles Taylor. Ben has escaped an abusive relationship and Adrian is still dealing with his own horrific past but somehow they form a connection that intensifies with every passing day. Then the past comes back to haunt them.
This is a story that contrasts the euphoria of a mutual attraction with the nightmare of coping with obsession and violence as well as the challenge of atonement for one’s past mistakes. Those who are concerned with such things should be aware that there are three points of view presented, and those with triggers should use caution if bothered by a bit of violence or the tragic results of driving under the influence. I like the full circle nature of the story and the heat between the two main characters, but wasn’t quite sure I made a connection with either of them. I think that things were a bit compressed, especially with respect to Ben’s family, so some of the following events didn’t quite feel believable to me, but the overall story is entertaining and heartwarming and I look forward to more tales from this prolific author.

Follow Ben’s and Adrian’s journey of finding true love. You know an author has done her job well when the story line pulls at all your emotions. This story does just that. It’s different from traditional love stories. Featuring two men that triumph through the difficulties that are thrown at them. There are twists and turns with some bumps in the road, but has a feel good ending. Claire Thompson has woven an amazing story. Just like she has done with her other books. Don’t miss out, buy this book today. You won’t be disappointed.
Ben just left a bad relationship and is not ready to start another. He does miss the intimacy of sleeping and cuddling with someone but decides it is time to evaluate his life. All that changes when an amazing young man sits next to him at a wedding. Adrian prefers to keep his relationship casual and avoid any kind of committment, but he finds himself drawn to Ben and soon the two are together constantly.
Each man has a past that would not as yet let them go. Ben’s ex refuses to let him go and his actions become increasingly irrational and violent. Adrian’s past is filled with pain and affects him still, preventing him from having healthy relationships. Each man brings some issues to the relationship but together they can work through everything.
He’s Mine turned out to be an incredibly romantic book. Ben’s and Adrian’s love for each other was so strong they survived some heavy issues and it was together that they worked through them all. Ben’s ex played psychological games but love kept Ben and Adrian from falling for his attempts at ruining their relationship. Adrian’s past left him with nightmares that with Ben’s help he finally worked through. The ending is incredible and will tug at your heart strings. He’s Mine is the perfect book for all of us who adore MM Romance. Claire Thompson is on my auto buy list and will be on yours as well after reading He’s Mine.
This story starts out as a supposed: guy meets guy, they fall in love and live happily ever after.
But right from the beginning there is the hint of a nasty undertow.
When the ex-lover of one of the guys begins meddling in their relationship, things slowly start to get more sinister. Painful secrets are revealed, family dynamics come into play, but there are also friends that give them backing. During all that the two main characters grow ever closer, their lovemaking is furious and sweet and insatiable.
And then the unthinkable happens!
Hmm? No! Not telling!
Find out if they get their HEA or not!
Ben and Adrian were perfect together! Seemingly complete opposites, their attraction was immediate, but the story isn’t just about two hot guys getting it on, it is about how they are better together. Ben had an awful relationship, but he found his way out. Trouble is, buddy is a clinger, in a really bad and dangerous way. Adrian seemingly has everything together, but things lie beneath the surface that affect his life in ways he doesn’t realize. Ben has support in ways Adrian wishes he did. Adrian has confidence in ways Ben wishes he did. The accountant and the model/actor have it all together in the bedroom, but as they figure things out in the world, they realize their chemistry and cohesion work in all aspects of their lives
And the greatest of these is love…First and foremost, this wonderful romance between Adrian and Ben is a lesson to all of us. It doesn’t matter if two men, two women or a man and a woman love each other. It just matters that we love and are loved. What a miracle to be able to find the other half that makes us whole, whoever that someone may be. This is what Adrian and Ben discovered and which allowed them to stand up to those (even in their own families) prejudiced against them. While they were not able to change others’ thinking, they did earn the grudging respect of others. As is the norm with Claire’s books, it made me re-evaluate my own way of thinking and broaden my viewpoint. A must read.
This was a very different Claire Thompson book, the tone and style seemed different and there was no BDSM, just sweet romance. Adrian and Ben come from very different backgrounds but when they meet at a wedding it is instalove. They both have their demons but through their love and understanding they overcome them and support each other. There is an ironic twist that helps them be free but it is their love for each other that ultimately wins everyone’s heart.
